Dorsey Studio, LLC is a Chicago design-build studio specializing in custom millwork, architectural built-ins, furniture design and fabrication, and art & objects. We work with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and commercial and event clients — from a single dining table to a full library wall. Operating as Chicago Fire Furniture Studio out of East Pilsen since 2013.

Principal Julius Dorsey came to the trade through the arts, studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before founding the studio. That background shapes the work: attention to proportion, material, and detail, applied to cabinetry and millwork that has to live in a real room and last. His work has been featured on Windy City Rehab and exhibited in group museum shows alongside Chicago designers including Norman Teague.

We build across disciplines because the problems overlap. A built-in wall, a walnut table, and a sculptural panel ask the same questions about structure, material, and how a thing meets a space. The studio doesn't separate them.
